The Lake and Grand Bridge at Blenheim Palace

Head out of London and you will soon be amongst the beautiful shades of green down land with a treasure trove of history to explore. Fine church steeples arise proudly from hill sides to mark well established bustling villages and small hamlets forgotten by time.

You will also find some of the finest historical properties of interest in the UK. Some remain privately owned including great palaces and houses opened to the public by kind permission of some of England's most gracious families. Blenheim Palace remains home to the Duke and Duchess of Marlborough, Althorp House to the 9th Earl Spencer.
